Trastorno de Insomnio Agudo

El trastorno de insomnio se considera agudo cuando a pesar de tener la oportunidad de dormir, existe dificultad para conciliar o mantener el sueño, o bien si se produce un despertar precoz o resistencia a irse a dormir; ocasionando de día fatiga, falta de motivación, problemas de atención, concentración o memoria, etc y si esto ocurre de manera puntual.


En estos casos la aparición de los síntomas de insomnio tiene relación con un acontecimiento estresante ya sea negativo o positivo. Algunos ejemplos son el duelo, el diagnóstico de una enfermedad, cambio de trabajo o el traslado a otra ciudad. La duración de este tipo de insomnio suele ser inferior a los 3 meses, resolviéndose cuando desaparece el acontecimiento estresante o cuando la persona logra adaptarse a él.
